Adventures of Jae and Xod - Dead Awake | Rapid Production

This is Project completed all in 3Ds Max with Arnold lighting, the main focus on the Rapid Project was to create a full animation pipeline with character lip-sync animation. As well as learning new settings, tools and modelling skills. Full Project Executive Summary (Read at you own risk XD): Project Objective The objective of this project is to create a 5-10 second animation with a full pipeline animation within a span of 6 weeks. This project will test out ability to scope down and meet milestones throughout the project. Using 3Ds Max and Premiere Pro. Project Overview Synopsis Dead Awake is a 3D animation comedy short, consisting of a 5-10 seconds long. Xod and Jae are put together in a 2-person dormitory as they arrive at their academy. That night, Jae stays awake all night, bloodshot eyes and eye twitch as he tries to sleep with Xod’s loud snoring and grunting in his sleep next to him. Summary This is a comedy short about Xod who is snoring so loudly that his roommate Jae is dead awake with bloodshot eyes and eye twitching - whos trying to sleep. Statement of intention The intention of this short is to create a humanistic monster with feelings as they too have to deal with society problems such as sharing a room with another person you do not know. This short is targeted at teenagers of 13-17 year olds and anyone else who is interested in short skits. The purpose behind this short is for creating a quick connection between the audience and the character within a span of 5-10 seconds, using the plasticy and shiny artstyle of characters. Logline Discover what happens when Jae takes action to fall asleep when Xod is keeping him up. Audio used: EFX_CollAnderson_Snort_clip & Monster_seesYou The two audio sounds were both offered at the time of the beginning of this project at SAE. AFTERMATH RAIDED SPACESHIP | Trailer

An Aftermath Project created by my group at SAE Qantm Institute; Tim Tam Empire, containing myself, Timothy, Tristan, Morgan and the sound effects, audio, music by Clement. And extra voice actors, Jorge and Sky. This is only the trailer. Here is the full game play: https://youtu.be/HOF4RaFjEHY Full Project Executive Summary (Read at you own risk XD): Project Objective The objective of the group Tim Tam Empire is to create an interactable environment based on an aftermath using Unreal Engine 4. The environment will be a destroyed prison spaceship after a breakout of the galaxy’s most dangerous criminals. Our main goal when building the environment will be to create a convincing scene in space, complete with floating debris, distant stars in the form of a skybox and the feeling of isolation as the player floats by bodies of the former crew which we hope will be perfect for all fans of sci-fi. Players will need to collect voice memos from around the ship to learn how this carnage took place. Synopsis The fall of the TPS - Abaddon’s Barge The year is 2190. Humanity has reached the stars and is the latest species to join the Galactic Community However, with the dangers of space, many alien races believe Humans are not ready to join. Feeling they must prove themselves, the leaders of Earth decide to bring in one of the most dangerous galactic crimelords, Karajorn, who many members of the Galactic Community have attempted and failed to bring to justice. However, fortune favours the bold as an elite group of humans capture and some of his highest ranking officers and swiftly transport each of them towards a high security prison aboard the Terran Prison Ship: Abaddon’s Barge. Finally taken down, every race breathes a sigh of relief as the light of peace returns to the galaxy. Or so it would seem… While passing an unexplored planet, an explosion occurs on the hull of the TPS-AB. Caught off guard, the crew attempts to lock down the prisoners as more explosions bombard the ship. Meanwhile, soldiers of the warlord set loose Karajorn and his officers and kill every crew member of the prison ship, but not before one of the crew send out a distress beacon. Summary This is an exploration game called, The fall of the TPS - Abaddon’s Barge. This environment is the aftermath of this story. A ship ripped in half. Minimal power. No lifesigns. Plasma fires still burning. Unattached items and human corpses float haphazardly with droplets of blood surrounding them with the loss of internal gravity generators. Floating pieces of shredded metal are scattered everywhere throughout the catastrophe. The player must explore the environment to find out what happened and recover each crew member’s recordings and backlogs. Statement of intention The intention of The fall of the TPS - Abaddon’s Barge is to be an exploration game which allows the user to interact within a small environment in a sci-fi genre. As well as to create a detective game-like theme - informing the user indirectly of what happened to the ship as they find character logs which will be interactive. Because this game has graphic violence such as dead bodies floating around and blood on the floor, this will be rated M and primarily targeting teenagers audience groups between 15 and 18 year olds or anyone else who is interested in short exploration games and the sci-fi genre. The purpose behind this game is for a short detective story to impact the audience with its sci-fi artstyle. We intend to have the main rooms to be interactive; control room, prisoner cells, prisoner hallway and the corridor, and everything else blocked off. With these rooms, it will tell a mini story of what has happened to the blown up ship. Logline A member of the Terran Recovery Service is dispatched to investigate the destruction of the Terran Prison Ship - Abbadon’s Barge and makes the horrifying discovery of a crew made corpses. Enjoy!!  ► WEBSITE: https://alisonvevans.wixsite.com/website  ► ARTSTATION: www.artstation.com/cupidanimations ► FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/CupidAnimeAnimations/  ► TWITTER: https://twitter.com/CupidAnimations  ► INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/Cupid_Animations/ ► REDBUBBLE/MERCH: https://www.redbubble.com/people/theanimeotaku ► TUMBLR: https://cupidanimations.tumblr.com  ► PINTEREST: https://www.pinterest.com.au/CupidAnimations/ Leave a like and favourite! SPECIALISATION COMPILATION | 3D Character Modeling and Custom Rigging

For this Specialisation Project, I decided to do a death trap for my SAE Qantm Institute work (;゚д゚) Creating 4 Specialisation Pieces from scratch and all custom rigged. What I ended up creating was every model was created from scratch in 3Ds Max, took it into Maya for custom rigging and extra FX such as nCloth and Fibre Hairs with Xgen. With the exception of the Pikachu which was created in 3Ds Max, then Mudbox for sculpting, then Maya for Rigging and Skinning. Whilst I only had about 5-6 weeks to create these pieces, Ive learnt a lot in terms of my capabilities in my technical field in 3D softwares. I wanted to test myself in these weeks to see if I can go beyond my limits and create characters I had never thought I could do. I've completely and utterly exhausted myself in doing so _(:3」∠)_ I'm more of a 2D creator at heart, however, during this project, I really changed my mindset and attitude towards 3D softwares - To other people it may sound weird or strange but this is how I felt about it: I had to stop thinking like a 2D creator but as a 3D creator and telling myself verbally out loud that I CAN do 3D stuff. And forcing myself to talk myself into something Im not very familiar with. Doing Maya was good for me because I thought to myself that I was ready for a much more bigger project and was able to create more advanced level of 3D. Along the way I noticed amongst all my research and findings within Maya was, Maya love hierarchies. If you understand that, then it makes things in Maya so much easier. Besides from using a lot of Maya in this project and understanding a lot more how 3D softwares work in general. I know I have a lot to learn and still have a longgggg way to go in this area, Im willing to keep polishing up my work and learning new things as I continue down this path. And quite frantically, that's what I should be doing now - Polishing up my work and getting more practise ヾ(^^ゞ) Whether I want to just specialise in JUST 2D or 3D is a different story.
